Habitat for Humanity of Cape May County is accepting applications for our Ramp It Up program which installs temporary ramps at individuals’ homes. Providing accessibility helps individuals and families stay in their homes and remain connected to their communities and the resources they rely on.

Providing accessibility through the ramp program is in keeping with Habitat’s mission of creating and sustaining simple, decent, affordable housing. Instead of being forced to move, a ramp allows homeowners with low to moderate incomes to remain living safely in their homes.

To qualify for our ramp program, the applicant must meet the following criteria: resident of Cape May County, own and live in their home, have current homeowner's insurance, and meet household income limits which are determined using HUD guidelines.

Thank you to our volunteers and donors for the time, effort, and resources you have invested to bring this program to fruition and to Univest for the grant that funded the start-up of this program.

Please email elizabeth.franco@habitatcapemay.org if you or someone you know is in need of a temporary ramp.

"Every day the world around us seems to erupt with trouble or strife, but I draw on inspiration from all of you. The circle we have forged here not only supports the families we positively and powerfully impact, but each other. I see interaction happening on all fronts, every day, showing how we pick each other up in a practical expression of God’s love. Each one of us moves the other ahead, like a crowd surfer aiming for the stage. That stage is the home dedication and we are all raising our arms to shift each project one step closer to move-in day. Everything you read in these pages has your stamp on it – as a volunteer, donor, listener, attendee, shopper and staffer. We build is not only a statement to erect a tangible structure, but the residual effect it has toward one another is a priceless value unseen." - Sarah Matthews
